Antique Angel
When Jeff received this badly damaged plaster Antique Angel, she was in many pieces. His restoration work included blending the paint to match the sculpture's age and original worn finish. The restoration results show her beautiful, serene presence.

Before
The plaster Antique Angel is 36 inches tall, and her wings are 30 inches long. The broken pieces were ready for Jeff’s restoration expertise.

Before
One wing was very damaged and had to be steel pinned inside before being cemented back together. The wings were attached by a wooden pin. One pin was damaged and also needed repair.

During
The statue had to be rebuilt from the inside out. A wooded armature was built inside for support, and the Angel was rebuilt around it.

This picture shows the restored wings. The wooden pin for the wings will now securely hold the weight of the wing.

Here the Antique Angel’s body is rebuilt and ready for more patching, sanding and the final painted finish.

She has been restored in this picture and repainted.

Painted to blend with the age of the statue and her original worn finish, this Antique Angel certainly is a statement piece!
